Washington D.C. International Wine & Food Festival 2009

If you are a fine wine connoisseur, Washington is the place to be February 14-15. The largest indoor wine event in the Mid-Atlantic will bring over 200 international wineries together along with food vendors and manufacturers of related lifestyle products and services. You will be able to sample wines from across the globe including Argentina, Germany, Greece, Spain, Italy, France, New Zealand, and the United States. You can sample over 800 wines with one admission price. Discover new favorites to add to your repertoire. You can pick up tips on serving, pricing, and selecting the right vintage. Watch chefs in action, sample their creations, and bring home their recipes. Seminars will be available with topics for both the novice and the connoisseur.

Over 250 exhibitors and trade show displays will be on hand to meet and educate you. Various countries and wine regions will be grouped together on the show floor. You can meet the “who’s who” of the wine and food industries and learn about the latest trends. There will be something for everyone with the numerous wines, variety of foods, and selection of wine related products on hand.

On Saturday, February 14th, reserve level wines will be featured in the sophisticated Grand Cru Wine Lounge. All wines are hand selected and will be presented throughout the day. Several top wine makers will be on hand to discuss their wines.

Celebrity chefs Andreas Viestad and Christina Pirello from Public Television will be at the festival. The Washington Post will host demonstrations including the proper pairing of foods with wine.
