The largest natural, organic, and healthy products trade show on the East Coast will be held October 15-18 at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center. Over 25,000 industry members will come together as thousands of the newest and best-selling products and branded ingredients are showcased by more than 1200 companies. This expo draws an international clientele to the best in natural and organic products and extensive training programs. This show is open to manufacturers, buyers, retailers, and qualifying media. Independent natural retail stores, supermarkets, pharmacies, clubs, convenience stores, pet supply stores, spas, and salons will find the hottest new products available to add to their product lines.
Attendees at the Natural Products Expo East 2007 found the show absolutely essential to their business. They found new companies to do business with, new products to carry, and valuable education.
More than 2,000 trade show exhibits will be organized by six pavilions representing product sets from specialty foods to supplements, health and beauty to natural living and more. Programs at this year’s event will provide education on everything from merchandising and selling organic in a slow economy to regulatory issues. In addition, there will be networking events, concerts, and lots of fun to be had by all. Boston is the place to be to make new business connections with peers, colleagues, and industry trendsetters.
The Natural Products Expo East Education will address prominent industry issues. The keynote speaker this year will be Frances Moore Lappe, author of Diet for a Small Planet and Getting a Grip. Her book, Diet for a Small Planet, has sold three million copies. In it she teaches the personal significance of a new way of eating. In her keynote, she will stress how food remains the central issue to understanding world politics.
The Wednesday Retailer Workshop will provide category buyers and managers direct interaction as they receive focused, intensive training and advice from industry experts and peers. There will be an advanced retailer track focused on the challenges faced by experienced store owners. There will also be small-group breakout sessions with industry leaders so that you can keep up with current trends and new perspectives.
Special events at this year’s expo include an organic farm tour of Decas Botanical Synergies. You will be able to tour a local organic cranberry farm and their processing facility. There will also be a tour of the best natural products and specialty stores in the Boston and Cambridge area. This year the Retail Store Tour will visit Debra’s Natural Gourmet, Cambridge Naturals, and Pemberton Farms.
On Wednesday, October 15th, a New England Dinner will be held to benefit Farm Aid. This will be held at the Seaport Hotel Plaza Ballroom. Farm Aid brings family farmers and citizens together to guarantee family farm food is available to you by keeping family farmers on their land.
