Las Vegas will be the site of the 2009 Renewable Energy Technology Conference and Exhibition (RETECH 2009) on February 25-27. This is expected to be the largest all-renewables gathering in the U.S. in 2009 with an attendance of over 5,000 people. A full-scale trade show will be combined with product launches, a business conference, and RETECH side events to make this an exciting event. Educational and networking opportunities will be available.

The Trade Show will feature over 250 companies and organizations and 25 international governments hosting trade show displays and pavilions. Exhibitors will include equipment manufacturers and suppliers, systems providers, finance and investment firms, research & development companies, project developers and operators, law firms, green builders, architects, construction and rigging companies, NGOs, trade associations, and government agencies.

Over 120 industry-leading speakers will share their knowledge and insights at the Business Conference. Six parallel tracks will be held over two days focusing on each of the key technologies of wind, solar, hydro/ocean, geothermal, and biomass/biofuels/waste energy. In addition, sessions will be held on markets, finance and policy.

The RETECH Side Events will offer a unique chance for the world community to discuss opportunities and challenges of a rapid global scale-up of renewable energy as well as to address the goals for energy security, climate change, and sustainable development.

Helicopter Association International (HFI) will host the Heli-Expo 2009 at the Anaheim Convention Center, February 22-24. This will be your one-stop shopping Mecca for helicopters and related products. There will 50 helicopters on display and 500 companies will have trade show displays on 600,000 square feet of display space. This will be the place to visit with suppliers, reconnect with colleagues, and meet new friends.

Heli Expo 2009 will showcase helicopters for every mission, engines, avionics and instruments, completions and modifications, computer software, insurance, finance, leasing, heliports, mechanic and pilot training, uniforms, helmets, safety clothing, components, parts, accessories, and related products and services for the helicopter industry.

HFI will offer educational courses designed specifically for helicopter professionals to be presented prior to and following Heli-Expo 2009. These courses will be conducted at the Hilton Anaheim Hotel. They will focus on four major areas of interest:

If you are a fine wine connoisseur, Washington is the place to be February 14-15. The largest indoor wine event in the Mid-Atlantic will bring over 200 international wineries together along with food vendors and manufacturers of related lifestyle products and services. You will be able to sample wines from across the globe including Argentina, Germany, Greece, Spain, Italy, France, New Zealand, and the United States. You can sample over 800 wines with one admission price. Discover new favorites to add to your repertoire. You can pick up tips on serving, pricing, and selecting the right vintage. Watch chefs in action, sample their creations, and bring home their recipes. Seminars will be available with topics for both the novice and the connoisseur.

New York is the place to be February 13-15 for all fashion fanciers as Couture Fashion Week showcases couture and luxury fashion along with fine art, world-class entertainment, and receptions. Fine designers from around the world will present their exquisite garments and accessories. Socialites, fashionistas, upscale consumers, stylists, fashion industry consultants, and VIPs will gather at the Waldorf-Astoria for runway shows, exhibits, network parties, and dinners.
